3-hour Old Delhi Heritage Walking tour with Rickshaw Ride

We had a wonderful morning trip with our tour guide exploring Old Delhi. Definitely recommend this experience for female travelers looking to explore the busy part of town while still feeling safe ? ?? ?

Top way to visit the parts of Old Delhi you weren't game to do alone. The tour started right on time. Surprisingly, a car was provided to get us to the places. Many roads around the Red Fort were closed in preparation for Independence Day. My guide was able to navigate this, and we spent time at the large mosque and then ventured into another world by rickshaw through the old market. The colours, the smells, the photos and the memories. My guide Gaurav Giri did a fabulous job explaining it all. Above all, the tour was lots of fun!

I was sceptical about the tour, but I have no regrets that I went for it. I must admit that it is a must if you are visiting Delhi. You will not regret it. Nikhil, our tour guide, showed us around the different places and was very helpful and accommodating. Thank you.

I took the 3 hours Old Delhi tour and to my surprise I was the only one, so a private tour which I was very pleased with. The tour is nicely organised with parts of waking and parts of rickshaw and parts of walk. My tour guide was a lovely hound lady called Neha and very accommodating too. You have to pay for rickshaw rides which are each around 20-40 rupees. I didn’t have any cash with me due to change of plans and she was so nice to pay for me and then takes me to the ATM. She also took photos of me in different spots which was really nice. We finished the tour in 2.5 hours which I think was just enough length.

A genuine experience on the streets of old Delhi, I traveled back in time to the old legacy and culture of India. The guide was great, we had local food and I always felt safe.

It took us into the heart of Old Delhi and provided us an experience we would have been unlikely to have had on our own. We met our guide Isha at a metro station, and she helped us navigate the busy bustling and noisy Old Delhi, walking, by TukTuk and on bicycle rikshaw. Without her, I would probably have felt a bit stressed, but she took very well care of participants. The sights covered were very interesting, from the Jama Mosque to the Sikh Temple and the Spice Market, passing through a hidden historical lane of the Jain community. I found the Sikh Temple a particularly interesting experience, since the community is open to let anyone assist to their prayers, and the temple’s kitchen - which we also visited - provides free food for dozens of thousands of people a day for free, as our guide explained to us. And I really enjoyed just walking the busy streets and seeing everyday life in Old Delhi. A really interesting experience that you should not miss!

Old Delhi can be a difficult place to navigate. We are so glad that we had a guide who was able to show us around. Our guide, Isha was fluent in English, confident, and knowledgeable. She showed us all the important sights, carefully navigating through the narrow streets. As part of this tour you will visit multiple religious establishments. Make sure everyone in the group is dressed conservatively.

The walking tour has been an amazing experience as it allows you to visit in a few hours the most iconic spots of Old Delhi. Isha has been superb on giving me a lot of background and history about all the sights visited. She was also super patient with me, as I was stopping here and there to take tons of pictures. Plus she took some perfect shots worth to be framed. I would highly recommend this tour and Isha as guide.

This was an amazing tour with Isha. Thanks to her, we discovered a lot of culture details, tried street foods, visit a sikh temple, she adviced us about spices… and was careful about our safety. It was a wonderful experience!

I only had about 2 hours for the tour because I had a flight to catch, and Isha - my tour guide - made miracles to design a very custom experience for me to my likes. I am a foodie, so we did some street food, I like the culture and people part, so we talked and walked that, did some architecture, and even bought some presents for my daughters! 5-star! And she is a very positive person: bag of laughs :)

It was the PERFECT opportunity to see some gorgeous heritage sites, the streets and markets of Old Delhi, have an awesome tasty meal, and to be taken around by a local. Awesome tour of old Delhi. Our guide Sunil was amazing, he guided through the chaotic streets of old Delhi. I totally recommend exploring the old city with a guide since it can be really overwhelming even for experienced travelers. With Sunil we had a perfect experience, we could explore Delhi in an authentic and totally safe way and could taste some of the most delicious food we have ever tried. This tour is so worth the money, don’t miss it if you are in Delhi!

his was my first morning in Delhi, so I chose a hotel pick-up, which is a great option if you’re not used to the metro or Delhi geography! We walked around Old Delhi, visited the amazing variety of shops (jewellery, spices, paper, wedding finery), dodged cows, goats, and cycles before a real Indian lunch with locals. Our guide knew the area well and organised the rickshaw ride and car home - via a supermarket and ATM as requested! Excellent value and a great experience. Want to do the food tour next!

Picked up from our hotel by a car and taken directly to the guide meeting point. We got to see, hear, smell, touch (and taste!) all of the experiences that particularly Chandi Chowk has to offer. Chandi Chowk is a fascinating buzz that will attack all of your senses, whilst the visit to the Seikh Temple was humbling, interesting and fun. We enjoyed wonderful Parathas in the market and the rickshaw ride is something we wont forget in a hurry!!! Our guide, Anshul, was very friendly, knowledgeable and spoke good English. Gave us a great tour. And a big congrats to the owner(?), Komal Batra, who was able to arrange everything out of hours the night before, for an 11.00 start the next morning. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Old Dehli.

Our guide led us though the chaotic, narrow bustling streets of old Delhi. He took us up onto a rooftop with a great view and was happy to oblige with taking photos. We went into one of the shops in the spice market and learned about various spices. We went to the temple that feeds thousands of people for free and got to join in with making some chapatis. We got stuck in a traffic jam on our rickshaw ride. It was a very authentic experience! I also did the tour of red fort tacked onto the end of this tour and would highly recommend it. The fort is massive. I was surprised to find it is like a large, peaceful grassy park inside, with some beautiful pagodas.

Great way to experience Delhi and the local vibe. The local guide was amazing and helped us get to the best spots utilizing the local transport options, i.e. metro, tuk tuk.

We had a great tour of Old Delhi with Kiran, who was confident and knowledgeable. The tour was diverse in terms of the sights we saw and the modes of transport. Our hotel was switched at the last minute and Go City Adventures took this in their stride sending a cab for us and keeping us informed on Whatsapp.

A good half day tour filled with a variety of sights, hotel pick-up and drop off by taxi and informative private guide. Exciting Rickshaw ride from Red Fort to Spice Market and through the back streets of Old Delhi to the Friday Mosque. Well paced tour with interesting stops and no pressure to make purchases. This walking tour (combined with a few rickshaw rides) through the old part of Delhi was a very good experience for us! Kanika, our guide, was very knowledgeable, humorous and simply a nice person to spend the afternoon with - together with her we were a small group of four and we learned many things about Delhi’s history and present! We had a great exchange about the differences in each other’s culture, Indian and German, and thoroughly enjoyed each other’s company. Besides the historical sites, a clear highlight were the wedding and vegetable markets, which we may not have visited without such great guidance. We can highly recommend this tour!

It was an amazing day with Kanika touring us to the old city of Dheli.Kanika picked me up from my hotel with a warm big smile and we took the ricksaw and metro and went to city where we met with a lovely couple from Germany who joined the tour!It was the best tour i did to Delhi in the all of 8 days of stay .We had so much fun on the rickshaw,We visited amazing Red ford,we had traditional food, we ,we vizited old jewelry store and the spice market where i shopped almost every spice and tea i saw with so much joy!This is a must do tour if your visiting Dheli!Kanika is so sweet and warm and gives all her hard so that the people in the tour make the most of it and enjoy the tour to the fullest!!Thank you so much Kanika!!!!

My son and I went on a short tour of old town of Delhi last week trying to see and learn something about the city in the short time available. This was an excellent tour that allowed me to experience day to day India. Konika was a very personable and excellent guide. Her knowledge of Delhi history made the trip thoroughly enjoying. We travelled to Old Delhi via subway and the proceeded to the streets of Old Delhi. We went to the Friday mosque. We walked through various streets...jewelry center and where an Indian bride shops. It was wall to wall people including rickshaws, motorcycles, and carts. I feel like I was able to see the real Delhi. Konika was a fabulous guide. I felt like I spent the afternoon with a friend.

Kanika showed me all the special places in old Delhi. I even got the chance to make some bread in a temple and we had a little snack. She showed ma all the special markets and we visited a mosque. Kanika took really good care of me and I never felt insecure. I would book a tour again any time. Thank you for making my stay in Delhi so special.
