Description
Did you know that India’s most iconic monument, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the incredible Taj Mahal changes its hue from dawn to dusk? Well, yes it does! And in this 2-day long tour, we curate an experience for you where you get to witness this beauty at two different times of the day, at sunrise (where it appears in a pearly grey and pale pink hue) and at sunset (where it changes its color to an orange-bronze shade!
Day 1
Your tour will begin with your driver picking you up from your hotel in Delhi around 9 o’clock in the morning, from where you embark on this 2-day adventure of the city! After reaching Agra, check-in the hotel and get freshen up, post which your guide will meet you for your first destination to the tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah, also known as the Baby Taj. A beauty, living true to its name, this marble monument is a beautiful sight to witness. From there take a short break to have a scrumptious lunch at a multi-cuisine restaurant (at your own expense) post which your guide will take you to the grand Agra Fort.
One of the most important Indo-Islamic architectural marvels, the Agra Fort is the place where Shahjahan was imprisoned during his last days. Post this exploration, move towards your next stop, i.e the Mehtab Garden, the gorgeous symmetrical garden, also known as the Sunset Point from where you’ll witness Taj change its color to an orange hue at sunset! Call it a day and get dropped off at your hotel to stay overnight in Agra.
Day 2
Your second day will start rather early, around 6 as your driver will pick you up from your hotel for the Sunrise tour of the Taj Mahal. Follow your guide as you explore the iconic and incredible Taj at dawn and witness the gorgeous beauty changing its hue in pink! Visit the inside of the mausoleum, the mosque, and stroll around the Gardens of Paradise while clicking those Instagram-worthy shots!
Post this, enjoy a full breakfast at your hotel before leaving for an excursion to Fatehpur Sikri, a perfectly preserved red-stone ghost town, which was the former capital of Mughal emperor, Akbar. The town itself is the epitome of Indo-Islamic architecture and is a sight to witness! After exploring this stunning town and having lunch (at your own expense), head back to Delhi in air-conditioned comfort.
